Jacques Dubois

Jacques DuboisJacques Dubois was born in Heerlen, the Netherlands. He studied with Harry Sparnaay at the Academy of Music in Maastricht, and at the College for Arts in Utrecht. As a performer, Dubois specializes in contemporary repertoire for Bass Clarinet, Contrabass Clarinet, and electronics. He has given solo concerts in festivals in the Netherlands, Germany, France, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, United States, and Russia. Dubois has performed with many Dutch orchestras and ensembles, among them: Radio Philharmonic, Radio Symphony Orchestra, Residentie Orkest, and the Roterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. He teaches Clarinet and Bass Clarinet at the music school Kumulus in Maastricht, and is also working as conductor. Some of his transcriptions for wind ensembles and symphonic bands have been published by Baton Music (Eindhoven).
